Join Amazon's Innovation and Design Engineering team as a Performance Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of validating and optimizing next-generation automation systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with complex mechatronic systems, combining mechanical, electrical, and software expertise to drive engineering excellence. You'll be based in one of our European corporate offices with up to 40% travel across EMEA.

As a Performance Engineer, you'll design sophisticated test plans for high-speed robotics, conduct experiments to push technological boundaries, and analyze real-time performance data to enhance machine reliability. You'll work alongside world-class engineers in a cross-functional team of mechatronic engineers, controls engineers, data engineers, and simulation scientists.

The role involves designing clever experiments that reveal hidden performance insights, translating technical findings into actionable business insights, and influencing product design decisions. You'll be responsible for establishing operational boundaries, driving design improvements, and ensuring our automation solutions exceed customer expectations.

Requirements For Performance Engineer, Innovation and Design Engineering

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing, logistics or similar fields
  • Statistical analysis proficiency
  • Hands on experience in automation validation
  • Fluency in English language
