Platform Engineer, Managed Operations

AWS is launching its first European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a major advancement in utility computing. As a Platform Engineer in the AWS Managed Operations team, you'll be crucial in building and leading operations teams for high-availability AWS services like EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock, specifically for EU customers.

Your role involves overseeing the ESC launch in 2025, collaborating with global AWS teams, and shaping AWS services evolution. Daily responsibilities include working with technology leaders, improving operations, and enhancing availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.

You'll participate in on-call rotations for out-of-hours incident resolution. The position focuses on delivering scalable services and ensuring high availability for EU customers. This role is part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), which provides foundational services and continuous product innovations.
