Description For Power Engineer, Rack Power Sustaining Team

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of Amazon's cloud operations, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure. This role on the Rack Power Sustaining Team is crucial for maintaining and innovating the power systems that keep AWS data centers running efficiently. You'll be working with cutting-edge power electronics, designing and testing AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC power conversion systems, switching power supplies, and battery systems.

The position offers an opportunity to work on complex challenges in power distribution and server rack systems, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and specialists. You'll be involved in everything from prototype development to test automation, working with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, and failure analysis experts.

  • 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in power electronics
  • Experience in designing, testing, and debugging power electronics
  • HW Lab experience: setting up prototypes, developing tests
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages for test automation
