Pre-Construction Manager, AMER Central Data Center Construction

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to join their Data Center Construction team. This role is crucial in planning and executing the construction of Amazon's new data center sites nationwide. As a Pre-Construction Manager, you'll be at the forefront of cloud computing innovation, working with cutting-edge infrastructure and technology.

The position requires expertise in construction management, particularly in data center environments. You'll serve as the primary liaison between Real Estate, Design Engineering, Due Diligence, and other critical partner teams. Your responsibilities will span from initial planning through design development, providing schedule forecasting, construction budgeting, and constructability guidance.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This team keeps the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. You'll work alongside a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive practical construction experience with bidding, contracting, construction documents, industry infrastructure, design, and engineering. You'll need foundational knowledge of critical data center equipment and systems, including generators, UPS, switchgear, transformers, and various mechanical systems.
