Amazon Prime Air is an innovative project focused on delivering items to customers quickly, cost-effectively, and safely in less than an hour using drone technology. The team consists of hundreds of scientists, engineers, aerospace professionals, and futurists working to revolutionize delivery services.

As a Systems Engineer in the Business Operations, Systems and Support team within Prime Air, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). You'll work on optimizing and growing the PLM infrastructure, driving continual improvement through tool building and automation, and scaling services to support critical workloads.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and supporting PLM and MES-related systems
  • Driving continual improvement in systems operations through tool building and automation
  • Conducting root cause analyses
  • Scaling services and leading planning, forecasting, and technical approaches for peak operations
  • Driving projects and reporting on their progress
  • Reporting on service health at an executive level
  • Collaborating with world-class leaders to meet challenging goals

  • Building and implementing automations and tools to streamline processes
  • Delivering right-sized solutions to complex problems

Requirements For Prime Air Systems Engineer

Linux
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure in AWS
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
