Responsibilities For Procurement Manager, Cost Engineering

  • Develop overall procurement value engineering roadmap
  • Establish should-costing for procurement categories
  • Prepare bottom-up cost models and should-cost targets
  • Support preparation and evaluation of call for tenders
  • Ensure supplier quotations meet 'should cost' estimates
  • Advise on cost and value impact of specification changes
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal customers for product innovations
  • Drive value engineering initiatives in procurement categories

Requirements For Procurement Manager, Cost Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from Tier 1 Institute
  • 2+ years of program or project management experience
  • 1+ years of supply chain experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Expertise in software programs for cost management and value engineering
  • Good IT systems knowledge
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Wide knowledge of Packaging/Robotics/Freight and associated benchmark technologies
  • Demonstrated should costing and value engineering experience
