Description For Production Support Quality Engineer, 1st Shift, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper, an ambitious Amazon initiative, aims to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). This role is part of the Kuiper Manufacturing Quality team, focused on developing a Quality System that scales aerospace quality to meet volume and cost requirements. As a Production Support Quality Engineer working the first shift, you'll be at the forefront of satellite manufacturing quality control.

The position offers a unique opportunity to join during production ramp-up, working directly on the manufacturing floor to ensure product quality and compliance. You'll be responsible for reviewing and managing nonconformance reports, conducting audits, and providing critical quality oversight for satellite production. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in mechanical engineering and quality control, with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.

Working a 4x10 schedule (Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM), you'll collaborate with manufacturing personnel, quality team members, and engineers to maintain high quality standards. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $87,800 to $217,400 based on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits including medical coverage and equity compensation.

This is an excellent opportunity for quality professionals who want to contribute to a groundbreaking space technology project while working with cutting-edge satellite manufacturing processes.
