Description For Production Support Quality Engineer, 2nd Shift, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. As a Production Support Quality Engineer on the 2nd shift (Wednesday to Saturday, 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM), you'll be joining at a critical time of production ramp-up.

You'll be responsible for reviewing and approving Nonconformance Reports for satellite products, performing process and product audits, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications. The role involves direct interaction with manufacturing personnel, providing quality guidance, and managing containment activities when defects are discovered.

Requirements For Production Support Quality Engineer, 2nd Shift, Project Kuiper

  • BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 1-3+ years of Quality Engineer experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee due to export control requirements
  • Ability to work quickly and decisively in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues independently
