Description For Program Manager, Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA)

Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is seeking a Program Manager to lead transformational initiatives across their global operations. This role sits within the FOAA Program Management Organization (PMO), which focuses on driving scale and productivity through process optimization and automation. The position offers unique opportunities to work with cross-functional teams across Costa Rica, China, India, and the US, solving complex business problems through process re-engineering and innovative technology implementation.

The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on analytical work, requiring someone who can dive deep into existing processes while driving enterprise-level technology solutions. You'll work alongside senior financial analysts, business intelligence engineers, and process managers to create and implement new processes that enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include driving large-scale automation programs, accelerating business process re-engineering, and streamlining FOAA's engagement with external teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or analytics, with proven experience in process improvement and automation. They should be comfortable working with senior leaders and possess excellent communication skills.

Requirements For Program Manager, Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA)

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or related analytical field experience
  • 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs)
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
  • Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
