AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their Data Center Engineering team. This role is crucial in maintaining AWS's global infrastructure, which powers cloud services for customers worldwide.

The position involves managing and reviewing engineering documentation, specifications, and drawings for AWS data centers, ensuring they meet quality standards and compliance requirements. You'll work alongside Engineering, Power and Cooling (PAC), Security, Controls, and Commissioning teams to build and maintain world-class data centers.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll be responsible for performing detailed quality reviews of technical documentation, managing project workflows, and coordinating with various stakeholders both internally and externally. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle high volumes of documentation while maintaining strict quality standards.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Managing multiple concurrent projects and their associated documentation
  • Performing quality assurance and control reviews for design drawings and specifications

  • Manage simultaneous projects' engineering drawings, specifications, and documents
  • Perform quality review of technical documentation for accuracy and contract compliance
  • Perform engineering quality assurance and engineering quality control reviews for design drawings
  • Provide coordination of engineering and architectural specifications
  • Support design managers in documentation preparation
  • Manage project archiving, tracking, processing and filing activities
  • Set up and work on training initiatives
  • Prepare reports on project's progress and KPIs

  • 2+ years' experience as a project engineer for large commercial construction projects
  • 1+ year experience with design and/or construction management software including Autodesk BIM360, Bluebeam, and Procore
  • Up to 25% travel may be required
