Ring, an Amazon company, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their innovative smart home security products team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the home security space, focusing on ensuring product quality and reliability.

The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to qualify and prepare Ring products and companion applications for release. You'll be responsible for developing comprehensive test plans, conducting both manual and automated testing, and ensuring product quality through various testing methodologies including UI, API, and system-wide testing.

As a QA Engineer at Ring, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of Ring's security products. Your responsibilities will include developing test cases that map to product requirements, documenting end-user scenarios, and preparing detailed test reports for stakeholder review. You'll also be involved in triaging defects and implementing automation strategies to enhance regression testing efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of quality assurance engineering experience, with a strong background in both manual and automated testing. Experience with UI and API automation tools like Selenium and SOAPUI is essential. Additional experience in mobile testing would be advantageous.

Responsibilities For Quality Assurance Engineer, Ring Alarm

  • Work closely with cross functional sprint teams to qualify and prepare to release Ring products and applications
  • Develop test plans and test cases mapping to product requirements
  • Prepare and distribute test reports and release readiness reports
  • Contribute to QA support functions including UI and API Automation
  • Conduct API tracing and support production release testing
  • Detect and report UI, API, and system wide issues
