AWS Data Center Capacity Delivery (DCCD) is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to play a crucial role in their Integrated Project Quality program. This position involves overseeing quality assurance and control processes throughout data center construction projects. As part of AWS Infrastructure Services, you'll join a diverse team responsible for keeping the cloud running, managing all AWS global infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. The role combines technical expertise with project management, requiring strong attention to detail and collaboration skills. You'll work with cross-functional teams to ensure AWS's high standards for quality, safety, and performance are met. Responsibilities For Quality Control Engineer, Integrated Projects Quality (IPQ)

  • Lead implementation of QAQC processes throughout data center construction projects
  • Review design documents and provide feedback on constructability and maintainability
  • Develop and maintain quality control plans and inspection checklists
  • Conduct onsite QAQC inspections for installation activities
  • Coordinate with third-party Quality Control Agents/Vendors
  • Facilitate regular QC meetings with stakeholders
  • Monitor and report quality metrics and KPIs
  • Identify and track quality defects or non-conformances
  • Compile quality control turnover packages
  • Conduct final quality reviews and walkthroughs
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to end customers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Stay current with industry best practices

Requirements For Quality Control Engineer, Integrated Projects Quality (IPQ)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in quality control, construction management, or related field
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, mechanical and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across North and South America
