As a Regional Environmental Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining environmental compliance across AWS data centers. The role involves leading environmental regulatory compliance, working with emergency backup generators, large-scale water systems, and IT equipment waste management. Responsibilities For Regional Environmental Engineer, AWS Environmental

  • Lead environmental regulatory compliance function for assigned area
  • Advance environmental performance culture and improve regulatory adherence of data centers
  • Work with data center community on sources of air emissions, water systems, and waste management
  • Conduct environmental compliance audits of data centers and construction sites
  • Perform environmental incident investigations and regulatory reports
  • Maintain compliance record keeping and data integrity
  • Perform data trend analysis
  • Partner with construction managers to ensure environmental risks are identified
  • Prepare and submit time-critical reports to governmental agencies

Requirements For Regional Environmental Engineer, AWS Environmental

  • BA/BS degree in environmental science, chemical or environmental engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience serving as an environmental technical resource, compliance specialist, program specialist, or program manager
  • Experience with regulatory assessments and managing environmental compliance
  • Applied knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, and standards
  • Strong analytical skills on leading and lagging data
  • Problem solving abilities that show results
