The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence of their facilities. As an RME Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping vital machinery running smoothly across Amazon's distribution centers. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic maintenance planning and problem-solving.

Your day-to-day activities will involve conducting preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and implementing long-term improvements to facility operations. Responsibilities For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on site equipment
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in live distribution warehouse
  • Use latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
  • Uphold health and safety policies and practices
  • Support development and progression of on-site apprentices
  • Work on continuous improvement projects
  • Implement solutions for machinery breakdowns
  • Undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks including painting and plumbing
  • Liaise with contractors for external expertise when needed

Requirements For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

Linux
  • Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
  • Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
  • Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems
