Description For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon plays a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence across their vast network of fulfillment centers. As an RME Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping vital machinery running efficiently while ensuring workplace safety. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with preventative maintenance and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on site equipment
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in distribution warehouse
  • Use latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
  • Uphold health and safety policies and practices
  • Support development and progression of on-site apprentices
  • Work on continuous improvement projects
  • Respond to breakdowns and implement solutions
  • Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks including painting and plumbing
  • Liaise with contractors when external expertise is needed

Requirements For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

Linux
  • Completed Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or NVQ level 3 qualification in Engineering
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
  • Experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency in local language (verbal and written)
  • Experience in condition-based monitoring (preferred)
  • Experience with print and apply machines (preferred)
  • Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems (preferred)
