Description For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon plays a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence across their distribution network. As an RME Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping vital machinery running optimally in Amazon's fulfillment centers. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with preventative maintenance and problem-solving skills.

The position involves working with cutting-edge technology, including Amazon Robotics and Complex Item Sorter systems. You'll be part of a technically-minded team that maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment across Amazon's global network of fulfillment centers. The role requires flexibility with shift work to ensure 24/7 operational support.

Your responsibilities will range from routine maintenance to emergency repairs, requiring quick thinking and technical expertise. You'll work alongside senior colleagues and contractors, contributing to continuous improvement projects and implementing best practices across EU sites. Responsibilities For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on site equipment
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in live distribution warehouse
  • Use latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
  • Uphold health and safety policies and practices
  • Support development and progression of on-site apprentices
  • Work on continuous improvement projects
  • Implement solutions for machinery breakdowns
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated packaging systems
  • Ensure building compliance and safety standards

Requirements For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

Linux
  • Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
  • Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
