Description For Reliability Program Manager

Amazon is seeking a Reliability Program Manager to join their innovative consumer-centric product development team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead reliability engineering and operations activities through new product introduction stages. As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing methodologies to enhance product reliability while managing critical reliability activities.

The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams and Contract Manufacturer (CM) partners to drive product qualification, failure analysis, and issue resolution. You'll create and manage comprehensive reliability test plans, lead DFMEA processes, and oversee debugging and failure analysis efforts. The role requires expertise in reliability engineering, statistical analysis, and strong project management skills.

The position offers exposure to high-volume manufacturing environments in Asia and collaboration with diverse engineering teams globally. Responsibilities For Reliability Program Manager

  • Create reliability test plans including resource allocations, validation schedule assumptions, and validation items scope
  • Manage local CM team on reliability resource planning, test execution, failure analysis
  • Implement specific validation items in reliability test plans with schedule
  • Lead and drive DFMEA, debugging, failure analysis, DOEs and fixing issues
  • Evaluate and develop reliability test methodologies
  • Evaluate reliability risks and do escalations to management team
  • Travel extensively in Vietnam and Asia to support reliability activities
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams and CM partners
  • Assist CM management team in enhancing local infrastructure and capability

Requirements For Reliability Program Manager

  • Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, material engineering, mechanical engineering or related fields
  • 5+ years experience as an engineering lead or engineering project manager
  • Good understanding of principles and basic structures of measuring instruments
  • Strong technical problem solving skills and experience with failure analysis techniques
  • Excellent bi-lingual (Vietnamese & English) written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Good ability in multi-tasking
