Description For RME Manager - I (Level 4)

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled RME Manager to join our Fulfillment Center Management team in Pune, India. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, focusing on maintaining and optimizing our facility's critical infrastructure and automation systems. The position involves managing a team of maintenance technicians and third-party service providers while ensuring optimal performance of complex systems including PLCs, SCADA, and material handling equipment.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering, with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems. You'll be responsible for developing preventive maintenance routines, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring workplace safety compliance. Responsibilities For RME Manager - I (Level 4)

  • Manage overall building and facilities maintenance including reliability, performance, and cost
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems including PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFDs, and Field Sensors
  • Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance Routines
  • Train RME Coordinators and Technicians on troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Manage vendor AMCs and service levels
  • Coordinate with Procurement Team for material purchasing
  • Manage spare parts inventory and stock levels
  • Lead team of Maintenance technicians and 3rd party service providers
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with Amazon Safety Policy
  • Maintain 5S standards for building housekeeping
  • Provide technical guidance during critical events

Requirements For RME Manager - I (Level 4)

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Controls Engineering or Diploma with equivalent experience
  • 10+ years experience in industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities
  • Experience in fast-paced industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment
  • Electrical and Mechanical background
  • Experience with HT & LT systems, HVAC, Fire Alarm systems, MEP systems
  • Subcontractor management experience
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (required) and CMMS, AUTOCAD (preferred)
