Responsibilities For Robotics Electrical Engineer, Amazon Robotics R&D

  • Design robust, high-quality, well-tested electrical equipment to interface with robots
  • Work with stakeholders across hardware, science, and operations teams
  • Cabling design, fabrication, documentation, and quality control ownership
  • Produce clear and concise documentation including design specifications and wiring schematics
  • Development of strategic solutions meeting quality and budgetary requirements
  • Work with regional vendors and manufacturers
  • Maintain high standards through reviews and designing for fault tolerance

Requirements For Robotics Electrical Engineer, Amazon Robotics R&D

  • BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar field)
  • Experience working with custom industrial motor drive electronics with Ethernet or EtherCAT based fieldbus communications
  • Experience with control cabinet design, VFDs, safety gateways and input and output devices
  • Experience with PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis
  • Experience with Python or C
  • Experience building with quick prototype platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
