Responsibilities For Robotics Safety Engineer, Amazon Robotics

  • Design robotic and servo driven gantry based industrial automation workcells
  • Architect machine guarding and safety control systems
  • Write requirements and functional specifications
  • Apply industrial safety standards
  • Lead Technical Construction Files (TCF)
  • Engage with TUV for product and functional safety certifications
  • Work with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations
  • Travel to vendors and installation sites
  • Optimize configurations and develop safety tests

Requirements For Robotics Safety Engineer, Amazon Robotics

Linux
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial automation and robotics system design
  • Understanding of machinery and electrical safety standards (ANSI R15.06, ISO 12100, ISO 13849, etc.)
  • Experience in high voltage and low voltage electrical design
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with 2D and 3D mechanical drawings in SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • Experience in regulated industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
