Description For Robotics Software Engineer

Amazon Robotics is pioneering a transformative warehouse robotics system that seamlessly integrates multiple custom robots into a highly efficient solution. As a Software Development Engineer in the Vulcan Stow organization, you'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation robotic automation for Amazon's fulfillment centers. The role combines cloud technologies (preferably AWS) with edge computing to create scalable solutions across the fulfillment network.

You'll be working on a brand new system that's a critical priority for the Robotics organization. Your responsibilities will include developing metrics and data infrastructure, testing software on robotic equipment, creating data visualizations, and working directly with stakeholders to shape feature requirements. The position offers hands-on experience with complex algorithm development and the opportunity to see your solutions deployed at scale in live environments.

The Vulcan Stow team specifically focuses on building infrastructure and tooling for collecting and displaying metrics and debug telemetry. This work directly supports other teams in automating complex tasks within Amazon's fulfillment centers. The role offers competitive compensation based on geographic location, ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical and financial benefits.

  • Work across teams to design and develop metrics and data infrastructure connecting robotic systems to the cloud

Requirements For Robotics Software Engineer

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
