Description For Robotics Software Engineer, Amazon Robotics

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their team in building a transformative warehouse robotics system. This new foundational system integrates multiple custom robots into a highly efficient solution for Amazon's fulfillment network. The role combines cloud technologies (AWS) with edge computing to create scalable robotic solutions.

The position is part of the Vulcan Stow organization, which is operationalizing next-generation robotic automation for complex fulfillment center tasks. The team specifically focuses on building infrastructure and tooling for metrics collection and debug telemetry to support the broader Vulcan Stow mission.

As a key team member, you'll work on designing and developing data infrastructure connecting robotic systems to the cloud, developing and testing software on robotic equipment, creating data visualizations, and working closely with stakeholders to define and implement features. The role offers an opportunity to see your solutions deployed at scale in live environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong software development expertise, experience with cloud technologies, and a track record of designing and implementing new products. This position combines robotics innovation with practical software engineering, making it perfect for someone passionate about building scalable robotic systems.

Amazon offers competitive compensation with a base salary range of $129,300 to $223,600 depending on location, plus equity and benefits. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k), parental leave, and PTO.
