Description For Satellite Test Engineer, Integrated Vehicle Testing

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). As a Satellite Test Engineer on the Integrated Vehicle Test team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of this groundbreaking project.

The position involves architecting next-generation test infrastructure and leading Integrated Vehicle test campaigns. You'll be responsible for developing and executing test campaigns for fully integrated satellites, ensuring their readiness for launch. Working across multiple engineering and manufacturing teams, you'll specify test equipment requirements and optimize test processes to support Project Kuiper's production plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and supporting integration testing from subsystems to full spacecraft
  • Collaborating with avionics, payload, and software teams on test plans and execution
  • Leading integration campaigns and ensuring spacecraft readiness for launch
  • Identifying and addressing product risks across teams
  • Developing innovative hardware and processes to optimize testing capabilities

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas, in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment. You'll be part of a team that values high standards, continuous improvement, and entrepreneurial thinking.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $116,300 to $201,200 per year based on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project that aims to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.
