Description For SDE II, Kuiper Secure Communications Team

Project Kuiper is an ambitious initiative by Amazon to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The mission is to bridge the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

The Secure Communications team plays a crucial role in this mission by owning the entire stack of secure communication between satellite functions. As an SDE II, you'll be working on critical security aspects of satellite communications, participating in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and testing to operations.

The role offers unique challenges at the intersection of space technology and cybersecurity. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology, developing software in languages like Python, C++, or Rust, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and architecture. The position requires strong technical skills and the ability to work in an open, collaborative environment.
