Description For SDE II, Recipient Experience

Join Amazon's Recipient Experience (REX) team as an SDE II and make a significant impact on millions of customers' experiences. This role is part of the Customer Shipment Tracking and Control (CSTRAC) team, responsible for tracking billions of packages worldwide. You'll own and develop customer-facing experiences, including the Package Tracking page and its backend services, answering the crucial question: "Where is my stuff?"

As an SDE II, you'll lead engineering design and development, working with a collaborative team to build solutions that anticipate and resolve customer questions before they arise. The role demands high standards for code quality, testing, and operational excellence. You'll have the autonomy to build the right solutions from Day One, with opportunities to grow in a way only Amazon can offer.

The team's technical vision focuses on providing an advanced, modular service architecture for accurate package tracking information. Beyond just tracking, you'll work on features that empower customers to control their delivery experience, even while packages are in transit. The challenge involves creating a cohesive, easy-to-use platform that allows internal Amazon teams to self-serve their needs while maintaining scalability.

Working at Amazon means joining a company known for its customer obsession, where you'll have the chance to innovate and produce results that directly impact the customer experience. The compensation is competitive, ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. This is an opportunity to shape the future of package tracking and management at one of the world's leading technology companies.
