Description For SDE II, Recipient Experience

Amazon's Recipient Experience (REX) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their Customer Shipment Tracking and Control (CSTRAC) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact the delivery experience of millions of Amazon customers worldwide. The team owns and develops the customer-facing Package Tracking page and its backend services, providing crucial tracking information to answer the fundamental question: "Where is my stuff?"

As an SDE II, you'll be working on systems that track and manage billions of packages, developing solutions that provide transparent and flexible delivery experiences. The role involves building advanced, modular service architectures that deliver accurate package tracking information while allowing customers to control their delivery preferences even during transit.

Responsibilities For SDE II, Recipient Experience

  • Lead engineering design and development with a team of engineers and product partners
  • Maintain high standards for code quality, code reviews, testing, and operational excellence
  • Create mechanisms for achieving results and iterating improvements
  • Lead projects end to end while working with other engineers
  • Collaborate with other engineers on technical design and strategy
  • Build and maintain customer-facing experiences for package tracking and delivery
  • Develop and maintain backend services for package tracking information

Requirements For SDE II, Recipient Experience

Java
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with design patterns, reliability and scaling of new and existing systems
