Amazon Advertising is seeking a dynamic SDE2 to join their Ad Optimization group in Bangalore, focusing on Traffic Quality initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of Engineering and Science, working on industry-defining problems using cutting-edge technology. The position involves building machine learning and optimization algorithms that operate at scale to identify and filter non-human and invalid traffic within programmatic ad sources.
The team processes billions of ad-impressions daily using advanced technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Redis, and Amazon's cloud services (EC2, S3, EMR, DynamoDB, RedShift). You'll be responsible for developing real-time and offline algorithms, owning heuristics pipelines, feature generation infrastructures, and model inference libraries.
As an SDE2, you'll lead the design and architecture of systems that protect advertiser interests and save hundreds of millions in wasted spend. The role offers the opportunity to work with big data, develop sophisticated detection systems, and stay ahead of emerging attack vectors in the advertising space.
The position requires strong software development skills, experience with distributed systems, and the ability to mentor other engineers. - Design and code solutions starting with broadly defined problems
- Drive best practices and engineering excellence
- Work with team members to develop architecture and design of new and current systems

Requirements For SDE2, Traffic Quality API, Traffic Quality Services
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience in working with big & distributed data problems and solutions
