Description For SDEII, Datacenter Networks

AWS is revolutionizing datacenter networking with their new network fabrics initiative, designed to power all new AWS datacenters globally and set industry standards for the next decade. As part of the Datacenter Networks team, you'll be at the forefront of building sophisticated software systems that dynamically generate network topologies, implement novel routing algorithms, and monitor datacenter fabric health.

The role offers an opportunity to work on critical infrastructure that powers AWS's global operations. Responsibilities For SDEII, Datacenter Networks

  • Design and develop key components of Amazon's next-generation datacenter fabric
  • Build tools for network visibility for internal operators
  • Develop systems to automate wiring and incremental expansion of DC networks globally
  • Collaborate with Network Engineering/DC Operations teams
  • Create and review software design documentation
  • Own operational excellence of production software
  • Contribute to improving documentation, processes, and tools

Requirements For SDEII, Datacenter Networks

  • Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
  • Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
