Responsibilities For Security Assurance Engineer II, Kuiper Security

  • Collaborate with product teams to develop new features and mechanisms with an eye on security
  • Influence decision-makers and stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Assess and contextualize security risk and provide mitigations
  • Ensure detected security issues are treated with appropriate urgency
  • Develop, interpret, and implement security policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance to the AWS community on supply chain security practices
  • Drive best security practices through the Kuiper supply chain
  • Participate in setting vision and objectives for team's work

Requirements For Security Assurance Engineer II, Kuiper Security

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
  • Ability to engage autonomously with product and system owners to resolve ambiguous security problems
  • Ability to weigh security and business risk trade-offs when identifying solutions
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
