Security Engineer, AWS Cloud Security Response

Security is fundamental at AWS, where the Cloud Response Team takes charge of protecting AWS Cloud services through the 'AWS' side of the Shared Responsibility Model. This Security Engineer role focuses on Incident Response, requiring tactical collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to address security challenges at scale.

• Triaging and prioritizing security issues
• Communicating with various stakeholders up to the CISO level
• Building relationships across Amazon's security teams
• Managing priorities while maintaining productivity
• Demonstrating strong security judgment
• Contributing to tool and process improvements
• Participating in on-call rotations

The Cloud Response team, part of AWS Security Operations, operates on a follow-the-sun model across four geographical locations. Team members work closely with AWS security and service teams to ensure proper resolution of security issues while keeping stakeholders informed.
