Responsibilities For Security Engineer, AWS Managed Services

  • Identify, evaluate and communicate security threats, risks and vulnerabilities
  • Contribute to security automation and security posture improvements
  • Track and report on AWS detective controls effectiveness
  • Develop processes and policies to increase security response effectiveness
  • Provide 24/7 threat monitoring, investigation, and response
  • Periodic on-call responsibilities including weekends
  • Perform triage for security alerts
  • Document suspicious activity

Requirements For Security Engineer, AWS Managed Services

Linux
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a technical field with focus on operating systems, network, and/or applications
  • Understanding of security concepts and common security threats in host operating systems (Linux/Windows)
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
  • Experience with Python programming language
