AWS is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join their Hardware Supply Chain Security team. This role focuses on securing AWS's vast infrastructure by mitigating security risks associated with external suppliers, firmware analysis, and networking environments. As a Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating threat models, conducting due diligence on third-party vendors, and performing on-site security reviews at manufacturing facilities. The role requires occasional travel for comprehensive security assessments. You'll work across hardware/firmware, networking, and human operations domains to identify risks and develop creative mitigations for AWS's global fleet.

Responsibilities For Security Engineer, AWS Security, Hardware Supply Chain Security
- Own relationships with customer teams and understand security risks and business challenges
- Dive deep to understand where logical controls thwart physical and remote attackers
- Use threat models and devise strategies to prevent and detect remote attackers
- Manage risk and drive business success for AWS Security
- Conduct security reviews of external party engagements
- Develop solutions to complex business problems
- Work on innovative solutions in partnership with vendors
- Provide guidance in areas of customer support, access management, and secure network configurations
Requirements For Security Engineer, AWS Security, Hardware Supply Chain Security
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
- 2+ years of third-party security, hardware security and/or operational supply chain security experience
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for on-site security assessments
