Responsibilities For Security Engineer, AWS SOC
- Monitor and analyze security alerts to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time
- Develop, implement, and fine-tune detection rules and correlation logic
- Conduct in-depth investigations of security incidents and perform forensic analysis
- Coordinate incident response activities
- Maintain and optimize security information and event management systems
- Collaborate with other teams to enhance threat intelligence
- Provide regular reports on security posture
Requirements For Security Engineer, AWS SOC
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or 3+ years' equivalent technology experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience on a Security team
- Experience coordinating responses to security incidents
- 1+ year knowledge of web protocols, common attacks, and Linux/Unix tools
- Familiarity with cloud architecture/infrastructure and networking principles
- Experience with AWS services preferred
- Relevant industry certifications from SANS, ISC2 preferred
