Amazon Security (AmSec) is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Secure Hardware and Foundational Technologies group. This role is crucial in protecting both Amazon's cloud computing environment and its customers' security. Since 2006, AmSec has been at the forefront of enabling innovative cloud solutions.

The position focuses on securing foundational platforms including OS kernels, virtualization, device emulation, firmware, and hardware. As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for conducting comprehensive security reviews, threat modeling, and developing tools for large-scale security issue detection. The role requires deep technical expertise in hardware-rooted security, operating system hardening, and cloud-scale administrative infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong capabilities across multiple domains and will contribute significantly to the IT Security team and various groups throughout AmSec. You'll be expected to develop elegant solutions to complex business problems while adhering to security engineering best practices.   • Experience in virtualization security (Xen, KVM, QEMU)

  • Experience with x86 and/or ARM chipset and firmware security
  • Physical security testing at the machine level
  • Security testing of compute platforms
