The Training and Certification Team is looking for a Lab Security Engineer who is passionate about security and wants to be a part of building the most secured and exciting training labs for AWS Training and Certification. You will be responsible for securing the lab environment, which is used to develop and deliver highly technical training on AWS technologies, including cloud security, machine learning (ML), and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect lab systems, applications, and infrastructure
  • Conducting security assessments and audits on lab environments and applications
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deploy security solutions
  • Monitoring security systems and responding to security incidents
  • Contributing to security policies and standard operating procedures
  • Providing support and guidance on security best practices
  • Reviewing security logs and alerts to identify potential threats
  • Leading security incident response strategies
  • Conducting security assessments on new lab systems and applications
  • Staying current with emerging security threats and technologies

The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year to $212,800/year, depending on the geographic market. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package and total compensation approach.

Requirements For Security Engineer II, Curriculum Labs & Engineering

Python
Java
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • CCSP, CEH, CFR, Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, or GICSP certification
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Center security or information security roles
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and common infrastructure vulnerabilities
  • Experience in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability analysis
