Amazon's Customer Service Security team is seeking a Security Engineer II to join their front-line defense protecting customers from technical & malicious threats. This role combines deep technical expertise with security engineering to safeguard the world's largest customer service operation. As a Security Engineer II, you'll lead incident response, conduct sophisticated threat investigations, and architect security solutions that scale. Responsibilities For Security Engineer II, Customer Service Security Response Operations (CSSRO)

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on incident response & technical investigation lifecycle
  • Respond to Incidents providing leadership & guidance to security analysts
  • Conduct deep-dive investigations into threat and fraud abuse reports
  • Influence service teams to develop systems with security best practices
  • Design & Build security-related services for internal customers
  • Develop and mentor other security engineers and analysts
  • Participate in or lead post-mortem analyses
  • Find opportunities to improve from security incident investigations

Requirements For Security Engineer II, Customer Service Security Response Operations (CSSRO)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of work in related technical roles (threat hunting, threat intelligence, security data analysis)
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • 3+ years of experience using data analysis tools (SQL, Jupyter, R, Python)
  • 3+ years of experience with incident handling/response and applied computer security
