Amazon's Customer Service Security team serves as the first line of defense protecting customers from technical and malicious threats. As a Security Engineer II, you'll join a critical team handling security incidents at unprecedented scale. The role combines incident response, threat analysis, and security architecture to protect the world's largest customer service operation.

Responsibilities For Security Engineer II, Customer Service Security Response Operations (CSSRO)

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on incident response & technical investigation lifecycle
  • Respond to incidents and provide leadership to security analysts
  • Conduct deep-dive investigations into threat and fraud abuse reports
  • Influence service teams to develop systems with security best practices
  • Design & Build security-related services for internal customers
  • Develop and mentor other security engineers and analysts
  • Participate in or lead post-mortem analyses
  • Attend internal and external security training

Requirements For Security Engineer II, Customer Service Security Response Operations (CSSRO)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of work in related technical roles (threat hunting, threat intelligence, security data analysis)
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • 3+ years of experience using data analysis tools (SQL, Jupyter, R, Python)
  • 3+ years of experience with incident handling/response and applied computer security
