Security Systems Engineer, DCE Security Solutions Engineering

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Systems Engineer to join their global engineering team focused on developing next-generation security systems for AWS data centers. This role combines technical expertise in network security with physical security technology implementation.

As a Security Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, configuring, and troubleshooting comprehensive security systems, including IP surveillance cameras, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems. You'll work with data center architectural and engineering teams to ensure security best practices are implemented, while coordinating with regional and local physical security leaders to understand and implement new building and security system designs.

The position requires working with highly motivated experts in the data center industry, driving multiple projects including security systems deployments and retrofitting legacy equipment. You'll participate in R&D of new technologies, write technical documentation, and serve as a subject matter expert in security systems engineering.

The role involves approximately 25% travel, including international assignments, and requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners including manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. You'll be part of the DCE Security Solutions team, which provides engineering expertise and design support for security devices and solutions in data centers globally.
