Security Systems Engineer, DCE Security Solutions Engineering

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Systems Engineer to join their global engineering team focused on developing next-generation security systems for AWS data centers. This role combines technical network expertise with deep understanding of physical security technology and industry standards.

As a Security Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, configuring, and troubleshooting comprehensive security systems, including IP surveillance cameras, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems. You'll work with highly motivated experts in the data center industry, driving multiple projects including security systems deployments and retrofitting legacy equipment.

The position requires collaboration with data center architectural and engineering teams to ensure security best practices are observed, drafting new systems into build plans, and coordinating with regional and local physical security leaders. You'll drive standardization of designs across global regions and resolve technical issues in the security systems space.

The role involves about 25% travel, both domestic and international, supporting AWS's global infrastructure. You'll be part of the DCE Security Solutions team, providing engineering expertise and design support for security devices and solutions in data centers globally. The team owns and supports security products throughout their lifecycle and drives business improvement initiatives.
