Description For Senior ADC Windows Client Engineer

AWS Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) is seeking a Senior Windows Client Systems Engineer to join their team supporting the Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) for U.S. Government customers. This role combines deep technical expertise in Windows Client Services with a focus on security and compliance. The position requires maintaining and enhancing existing services, managing Windows deployments, and ensuring security compliance across desktop environments.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with 8+ years of Windows systems experience and strong automation skills using PowerShell. They will be responsible for designing and implementing new services, improving existing ones, and mentoring junior team members. The role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities For Senior ADC Windows Client Engineer

  • Maintain and enhance existing Windows services including build/deployment capabilities
  • Work with Security Compliance team to ensure desktop environment security
  • Drive design and implementation of new services
  • Improve and automate existing services
  • Provide escalation and mentoring for junior team members
  • Manage core ADC services including directory services, DNS/DHCP, and application servers
  • Drive resolution and root cause analysis for critical issues
  • Develop automation tools to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency

Requirements For Senior ADC Windows Client Engineer

  • Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification
  • Eight (8+) years supporting Windows family of operating systems
  • 3+ years experience in automation/scripting with PowerShell
  • Experience in software packaging, deployment, security patching, and OS Deployment
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
