Amazon's Global Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) organization is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer for their Automated Inventory Management (AIM) team. This role sits at the intersection of data science, business intelligence, and supply chain optimization, focusing on improving Amazon's worldwide inventory management systems.

As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing end-to-end reporting systems using BI tools like Tableau, developing predictive analytics for demand forecasting, and building sophisticated data models for inventory optimization. You'll collaborate with Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers to transform billions of data points into actionable insights using AWS Redshift.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data science and statistics, with at least 5 years of SQL experience and a Master's degree in a quantitative field. You'll need expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and machine learning, combined with the ability to communicate complex findings to senior leadership effectively.

  • Support PMs in driving initiatives to improve business outcomes in Brazil, Mexico and Canada stores
  • Create insights on product availability and inventory levels
  • Drive business changes through data insights
  • Develop improvements and invent new ways to analyze data trends
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to build centralized tools
  • Partner with Data Engineers and Software Engineers to design products and systems
  • Design end to end reporting using BI tools like Tableau
  • Build predictive analytics for demand forecasting and inventory optimization
  • Monitor KPIs and drive process improvements

Requirements For Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, Automated Inventory Management, Americas

Python
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis
  • Experience in scripting for automation (Python) and advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
