Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, Prime Video Sports Tech Ops

Live Sports represent the next major growth vertical for Prime Video. We're acquiring the biggest and best events like NFL Thursday Night Football for our customers and building new experiences to change the way people watch live sports! We're looking for a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to help us build scalable BI solutions for our fast-growing business.

Key responsibilities include: • Translating business problem statements into specific analytical requirements • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable self-service BI solutions • Developing domain expertise and driving contributions to data and research roadmap • Prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment and matrix organization

The Prime Video Sports Operations BI team's core mission is to help partners make decisions and measure performance across domains from content pipelines and service operations to customer journeys and product experiences. We work closely with product management, engineering, content acquisition, operations, and senior leadership to improve services, launch new sports entertainment content and experiences, grow the business, and delight customers.

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional or military experience
• 5+ years of SQL experience
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working directly with business stakeholders
• Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Experience with Cloud Storage and Computing technologies (AWS Redshift, S3, Hadoop, etc.)
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
