Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a Senior Capacity Engineer to join their Worldwide Process Engineering (WWPE) team. This role combines process engineering expertise with data analytics and program management to optimize operational processes across Amazon's logistics network. The position involves working with multiple stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Launch & Expansion, Design and Planning teams.
The role encompasses three core functions: managing WW Process Capacity products, driving analytics and optimization for various planning cycles, and standardizing/automating reporting capabilities through a central engineering database. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, handling complex cross-functional engineering projects while maintaining strong customer focus.
Based in London, this position offers the opportunity to impact Amazon's global logistics network at scale. You'll collaborate with Operations Leaders, Long Term Planning, Peak Captains, and Delivery Station Design teams to shape the future of AMZL Delivery Stations. Responsibilities For Senior Capacity Engineer, AMZL WW Process Engineering
- Own program management of WW Process Capacity products
- Own analytics, drive insights & optimization for all planning cycles
- Standardize, automate, centralize and scale reporting capabilities
- Analyse and make design recommendations for stations' mechanical capacity
- Lead dedicated programs to benchmark speed and capacity opportunities
- Support reporting cycles for Process Engineering/Capacity
- Provide actionable insights from analysis of large amounts of data
- Apply and share best practices with WW counterparts
Requirements For Senior Capacity Engineer, AMZL WW Process Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
- Experience in a planning or analytical role in industrial, logistics or production/manufacturing environment
- Experience in building and innovating processes
- Proven Project Management experience
- High level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Advanced data analysis skills
- Expert in using Python, MS Excel, SQL
