As a Senior Component Engineer at Amazon Kuiper, you will play a crucial role in reviewing, improving, and maintaining Component Engineering methods, processes, and procedures. You'll also mentor other Kuiper Component Engineers. Your responsibilities include deep diving into technical problems, conducting electronic component research, component selection, and working with cross-functional teams to validate AVL component candidates. You'll support design challenges, manufacturing issues, and look ahead to support next-gen products.
Key responsibilities: • Provide technical guidance and support to Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing as a Subject Matter Expert • Create, review, improve, and maintain Component Engineering methods, processes, and procedures • Review Electrical Component Requests and own Electrical Component Lifecycle Management • Conduct and review component research on equivalent components to expand the AVL • Support release processes, ensuring end-to-end BOM Quality from CAD to Manufacturing • Perform and review BOM scrubs • Manage Component Failure Analysis and Corrective Actions with suppliers
