Description For Senior Data Engineer, Trust Fundamentals

Amazon Devices and Services Trust and Privacy (DSTP) is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Trust Fundamentals organization. This role puts you at the forefront of protecting customer data at Amazon, where you'll provide thought leadership in tracking and managing customer data privacy. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, including AI and LLM systems, to ensure customer data protection at scale.

The position involves developing sophisticated data products and pipelines using AWS services, implementing privacy controls, and delivering trust-supporting analytics that impact millions of customers. You'll serve as a subject matter expert in data privacy analytics, leading technical implementations and working across Amazon teams.

As part of the Trust Fundamentals team, you'll support product lines including Alexa, Ring, Kindle, and FireTV. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $139,100 to $240,500 based on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits. This is an opportunity to directly influence Amazon's data privacy practices and contribute to maintaining customer trust at one of the world's largest technology companies.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of data engineering experience, strong SQL and programming skills, and experience with data modeling and ETL pipelines. Responsibilities For Senior Data Engineer, Trust Fundamentals

  • Develop data products, infrastructure and data pipelines leveraging AWS services
  • Develop new data models and end to data pipelines in response to product requirements
  • Design and implement automated controls for privacy and trust risks detection
  • Support the identification and delivery of privacy program operational metrics
  • Provide technical and thought leadership for Data Engineering and Business Intelligence
  • Work with AI and LLM teams to understand data models and safeguard customer data
