Senior Electrical Engineer, Amazon Robotics

Amazon is seeking a collaborative, talented, and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to work on system design, implementation and release to manufacturing for Amazon Robotics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system design, analog and digital circuit design, possess good communication skills, and have the ability to lead a team of Electrical Engineers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production
• Leading and supporting a technical team on multiple projects in parallel
• Coordinating activities within the engineering discipline and ensuring effective coordination with other disciplines
• Writing and developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures
• Architecting, designing, and implementing complex embedded systems, analog and digital circuit designs, and systems debugging
• Supporting product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments
• Executing tasks to aggressive schedules
• Establishing development processes to meet industry standards for functionally safe control systems (IEC 61508)

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in electrical, firmware, and system level design
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
• Ability to lead a technical team
• Expertise in schematic entry, layout tools, and design for manufacturability
• Experience designing complex schematics containing analog and digital electronics
• Experience with FPGAs, VHDL, microcontrollers, microprocessors, and mixed-signal designs
• Experience with serial communication interfaces (CAN, SPI, Ethernet, etc.)
• Familiarity with PCB layout design and best practices
• Strong system design and debugging experience
• Commitment to rigorous testing practices and design process flows

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
