Responsibilities For Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Avionics, Project Kuiper

  • Develop software to enable, integrate and operate satellite sensing, compute and bus systems
  • Identify top level requirements and participate in all phases of embedded software development
  • Support hardware bring-up and debug
  • Develop both prototype and production software
  • Lead software and architecture design reviews
  • Ensure development standards and best practices are followed
  • Collaborate with spacecraft design and integration teams

Requirements For Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Avionics, Project Kuiper

Linux
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or admitted refugee/asylee due to export control laws
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with embedded Microcontrollers in production environment (preferred)
  • Experience with bus systems (CAN, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet, 802.1AS) (preferred)
