Senior Energy Strategy Manager, AWS Energy Team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're seeking a self-starter to join the AWS Energy team in pioneering the future for data center utility power. This role involves developing and executing the strategy for delivering energy projects and partnering with electric utilities and energy companies across the Americas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for AWS data centers
• Managing multiple Utilities, EPC, and Owner's Engineers to deliver MV and HV power infrastructure
• Developing and executing energy strategies to reduce long-term energy costs
• Collaborating with Amazon CFE/RE team on strategic energy sourcing opportunities
• Executing electricity supply contracts that create new clean energy capacity
• Managing a portfolio of complex energy projects
• Identifying and developing innovative cost savings projects
• Working with utility regulators to develop policies supporting AWS strategies

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong energy background with experience in delivering innovative energy projects
• Experience working with regulated electric utilities
• Ability to think strategically and drive tactical execution
• Experience in managing initiatives in high-speed, constrained environments
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
