Description For Senior Front End Engineer, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global connectivity through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of global telecommunications as a Senior Frontend Engineer.

You'll be instrumental in developing software applications and services for an advanced global telecom service, specifically focusing on managing and monitoring Kuiper's terrestrial devices. The position involves working with cutting-edge AWS technologies while adhering to industry-leading software engineering practices.

As part of the Customer Engagement Systems team, you'll be responsible for developing the architecture and solutions for managing the complete customer lifecycle of telecom services. This includes identity and account management, subscriber management, billing and payments, customer support tools, and analytics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving product strategy and UI presentation
  • Leading feature development from ideation through implementation
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Managers and UX Designers
  • Designing accessible and high-quality user interfaces
  • Implementing globally available distributed cloud architectures

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $136,700 to $261,500 per year, depending on location, plus comprehensive benefits including equity and sign-on payments. You'll be part of a team that's working to close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

  • Experience with MVC/MVM frameworks (React.JS, AngularJS, Vue)
