AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to join their Accelerated Server Hardware Engineering team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining AWS's fleet of Accelerated Servers using Internal Amazon design silicon and specialized purpose accelerators. The position involves working with cutting-edge server technology, managing third-party ODMs, and integrating components to produce high-quality designs for AWS customers.
The role requires deep expertise in server development, system design, and problem-solving. You'll work closely with interdisciplinary teams including component, firmware, test, qualification, and integration engineers. You'll be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of server hardware development, from initial design through production and operational monitoring.
As part of AWS Hardware Engineering, you'll collaborate with various teams across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing massive computing capacity at optimal costs. The position offers exposure to some of the most challenging problems in cloud infrastructure, working with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.
The ideal candidate will bring 10 years of hardware development experience, particularly in compute and storage server architecture for large-scale applications. You'll join a diverse team of engineers and technical experts in Seattle, Cupertino, or Austin, working in an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers ownership.
This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $128,600 to $213,600 based on location, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical coverage.
