Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering team is at the forefront of creating cutting-edge compute, storage, accelerator, and enterprise servers that power Amazon's innovative web services. As a Server Hardware Engineer (Lead Engineer) on the Edge team, you'll be joining a dynamic environment that serves over a million AWS customers worldwide.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the complete lifecycle of server hardware development - from conception to production deployment. You'll work on integrating hardware/software components, collaborating with service teams to define products, and supporting operations across multiple locations. The position requires expertise in server/board design, thermal-mechanical design, firmware/software integration, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities For Senior Hardware Development Engineer, Edge

  • Integration of hardware/software components to build servers
  • Work with service teams to define products
  • Support operations in all server locations
  • Execute product designs from concept to production
  • Deliver functional block diagrams, schematics, specifications, analysis, test plans
  • Work with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners

Requirements For Senior Hardware Development Engineer, Edge

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in server level design for compute, storage, accelerator segment or other complex product design
  • 7+ years' experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in product development and manufacturing processes
  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
  • Experience in board and server root cause analysis and resolution
